We’ve already told you all about how we’re leaving society’s ideas of perfect behind, but why are we doing it?

As designers of shapewear for women of all sizes, not just society’s “perfect” woman, we believe that it’s our duty to work alongside other women to change what it means to be perfect. If we were to be just like all of the other lingerie and shapewear brands that are on the market, then it’s likely that we would still subscribe to the belief that the ideal woman was a size 6 or 8. We would stop our sizing at 14 and leave plenty of full figured women without shapewear.

But we are all human, and as humans, we come in all shapes and sizes. There is no “right” mould to fit into, and when we were designing our range of shapewear, we recognised the diversity in the women who would want to wear our garments. And it isn’t just about being a size 6 or a size 16 – every human body is different and no matter what a label might say, one size certainly doesn’t fit all. The specifics of sizing and measurements even continue to differ within those established size ranges, and it’s rare that you will find a piece of shapewear that fits just right, even if it’s in your “usual” size bracket.

It’s exhausting trying to fit into these preconceived notions of perfection that we didn’t ask for, so why try and squeeze your body into them, too? There shouldn’t be a need for that, because there shouldn’t be a label on what makes the perfect body or the perfect person. It’s why we work to make sure that your shapewear will fit your body’s exact shape, and not what some other brand has told you your shape is. You know your body better than anyone, and we know what makes great, well-fitting shapewear.

We know that our customers are going to be fitting into all shapes and sizes, and as designers of something as personal as shapewear, we know that it is our duty to be designing for each and every one of those women. Our ideas of perfection are all about loving yourself and the skin you are in, no matter what society tells you, which is why our designs aren’t going to try and turn you into someone you’re not.

All that we want is to make sure that you are comfortable and happy as the person that you are, no matter your shape or size, rather than trying to fit into the mould that someone else has made for you.
